There are two things every golfer wants. Firstly, every golfer wants to hit the ball further. That’s universal.
Secondly, when they look into the future, they want to be able to enjoy the game for as long as possible.
However, I’ve seen so many golfers of all ages struggling to improve their distance. As they hit their 50s and 60s, I’ve also seen far too many players battling unnecessarily against stiffness and poor mobility.
I want to suggest a plan that can improve your physical health and help you hit the ball further. There are things you can do to extend your golfing life and lower your scores, no matter how old you are.
I should know. I’ve turned my life and my game around. You can do the same.
My Golfing Story
A few years ago I reached a point where I knew that my life needed to change.
My weight was going up. My energy levels hit rock bottom. My muscles felt like they were weakening and I felt less flexible with every passing month. My diet was out of control and I had no physical fitness routine.
At the same time that my wife was due to give birth to our son, I was a mess. I didn’t want to bring my son into the world feeling like a physical wreck. I wanted the energy needed to be a great dad and I wanted him to be proud of me.
And, to cap it all off, my golf game started to suffer.
I love golf. It’s what drives me mad and keeps me sane at the same time. I love golf’s blend of the technical and the physical. At least, I did until my body started falling apart.
As I put on weight, I noticed things that would disturb any golfer. My shoulder turn became shorter. My wind up felt less powerful. I started to overcompensate, shifting weight in a way that left me out of balance. As a result, my release suffered and I continued to lose distance.
But suddenly everything came together in my mind – my son, my poor physical fitness, my negativity and my golf game.
Could I find a way to solve all of these problems at once?
I wouldn’t be writing this if the answer was no. In fact, I found a way to restore my physical fitness, become a better dad and improve my game, and I’m writing this because I think you can share in my discovery.
I’ll get into detail later, but to put it simply, by changing my lifestyle according to Primal principles, my body became leaner, more flexible and my energy surged. As my physical state improved, I found it easier to stabilize my swing and build up my core muscles.
My drives flew 30 yards further. At the same time, I felt more flexible and noticed my energy and focus remained consistent throughout my rounds. I found it easier to complete my backswing and felt no pain at all after 36 holes of golf.

Start by eating real food. Cut back on the processed carbs and replace with plenty of high quality protein and healthy fats. You’ll notice improved mental clarity. The protein and healthy fats will also dramatically reduce your cravings and hunger.
The increase in energy will make sticking to a golf-specific exercise plan much easier. Although you’ll have the energy to work out for hours on end, that approach is completely unnecessary and potentially harmful.
